bioniclefanone | 2017-01-11 19:10 UTC–5 PermalinkOne last question from me though, if there anything you wish you could do differently in BIONICLE? |
PensiveSamurai | 2017-01-11 19:30 UTC–5 PermalinkGiven the context of earth and rock elemental lords, what is distinction in elemental powers between the two? Is it like earth to stone in the MU(which is rather vaguely defined, might I add)? Perhaps earth deals with gravity?
Furthermore, did the iron tribe fall under the umbrella of earth? I bring that up because there is never any mention of an Elemental Lord of Iron that I could find, which is odd considering the Great Beings recognized iron as a proper element in the MU. |

1. I'm pretty sure they appeared in some books/artwork. I was hoping that the Earth Tribe would be riding bio-mechanical tyrannosauruses. 2. Ah well, I tried |
commandercody1… | 2017-01-11 20:27 UTC–5 PermalinkIn these final weeks before the LEGO Message Boards close, I have a few more questions for you
1. Could you possibly confirm the kanohi worn by Zaria and Orde?
2. Where was the Earth Tribe banished to, or were they simply rejects like the Vorox? Did they die out, or are there still Earth Tribe members on Bota Magna?
3. It is evidently possible for the Red Star to take minds from their bodies when beings die, but is it possible for it to transfer minds into bodies below?
4. You've stated before that Takanuva's destiny was going to be ending a 'civil war' between the Great Beings. What would this conflict have been over? Control of the Planet? Blame for the shattering? Would Energized protodermis have had any part to play in this conflict? |

Considering this is such a small detail in the story, I thought I would suggest an idea I had.
Keetongu lived with the other members of his species on the island in the east chain of the Southern Islands. His species was known for using Tahtorak as mount, so the tribes kept some nearby in their village. Mostly though, the two species lived separately.
The Order had heard of the Visorak terrorizing islands, and had been tipped off that Keetongu's island was next to be attacked. Killing off the species of Rahi that could reverse Visorak poison was not something that ther Order wanted, so they sent Trinuma as a diplomat. Without revealing which organization he worked for, Trinuma tried in vain to use his Mask of Charisma. The tribal leader of Keetongu's species believed all of this to be made-up, as their island was very closed off from the outside world. Trinuma didn't want an entire species to die, so he pleaded with the tribal leader. Eventually, after some effort and charm, Trinuma convinced the tribal leader who sent Keetongu with Trinuma to see if the new island was safe.
Trinuma brought Keetongu to the hideaway in Ko-Metru, wrote down instructions on the Great Temple, and promised to return with the others of his species. By the time Trinuma returned to the island, the Visorak had killed all remaining members of Keetongu's species -- Trinuma was too late. Some Tahtorak living in the village were killed, but the ones on the plains were not. The Visorak knew they could not take on herds of Tahtorak, so they only challenged Keetongu's species.
Distraught and ashamed that he could not save all of Keetongu's people, Trinuma couldn't bear to see Keetongu again. He returned to Daxia with a heavy heart while Keetongu sat, waiting for Trinuma to return until the Rahaga and Hordika found him. |

I've posted these questions twice; not sure why you haven't answered. If you're just not interested, though, I can stop posting them, I just wasn't sure if you simply haven't seen them or something else.
1. How did Ihu die? Or (in BIONICLE Adventures #6), when Nuju names the Mountain after his mentor, does 'sleep of shadows', only refer to his sleep in the Matoran Pods, rather than death? |

2) I couldn't really use Skylor, because she is a main story character and I didn't want to step on toes. 3) I would, but at this point I am not doing any writing for NINJAGO. I believe the next graphic novel is being written by the guy who wrote the TV scripts for this year. Last thing I did was Dark Island, and no idea if I will be doing more at this point. |

1) I don't recall what was suggested for that. 2) They weren't banished to a particular place. They were simply were not associated with anymore. 3) No 4) It was going to involve Velika's desire to take over the society. |

1) Not that I recall. It was purely a concept and before it could be reviewed by the story team the line got cancelled. |

1) As I have written before -- throw a rock at something. Now throw a clump of dirt at something. There's the distinction. Rock and dirt are not the same thing. 2) I think someone answered this above. The Iron Tribe was pretty much wiped out, which is why there wasn't an EL. |

As I mentioned above, I wish we could have done stories with fewer characters. Because the story had to support set sales, we had to try to get every new set and, in some cases, most of the combiners into the year's story. And I think that made some of the stories more cumbersome/confusing than they needed to be. The reason I love Time Trap so much is that it consists of such a small number of characters. |
