1) No, not to my knowledge. 2) That was really a set designer thing that we kind of had to incorporate in, so there wasn't a story reason for it that I recall. |

1) Not that I recall 2) No 3) No, I never chose a name for him. 4) No. I came up with stuff as I needed to for the story. There was very little "come up with something and file it away for later." I didn't have time for that. |

1) No idea. I wasn't on the story team for that line 2) No, I came up with them as I needed them 4) Someone will have to figure out how to safely restore Varian. |

As I understand it, we have always kept the buildable action figure lines separate from the minifigure lines. Owing to the scale, they really can't interact. So no, HF is not considered to be part of a bigger LEGO play universe. It's its own thing. |
srlojohn | 2016-05-11 16:01 UTC–5 Permalink4B: any idea what that would be?
1C: could a toa of lightning potentionally control the battera or at least deactivate them by removeing the electicity from thier circits? 2C: in turn could a toa with the mask of biomechanics control the battera?
3C: since we know you arn't part of Bio gen2, do you think that the gen2 mask of time's anchient name is vahi is a cameo or is intentional?
thank you |

The Mata Nui Robot was sent out by the Great Beings to explore other worlds, which he did for 100,000 years. After that journey, he returned to the shattered Spherus Magna, but Makuta Teridax infected him with a virus before he could find the Great Beings, and he fell onto Aqua Magna, the water portion of Spherus Magna (now its own planet). The island of Mata Nui formed over his face, which it did every time he landed on a world, as camouflage. At this point, BIONICLE 2001-2008 occurred. In 2008, Mata Nui was reawakened, but Teridax had taken control of the robot body and sent MN's spirit to Bara Magna, where 2009 happened. Then, Mata Nui assembled the Prototype Robot--another robot the Great Beings had created that malfunctioned and exploded--and faced Teridax, which happened in 2010.
And yes, the tunnel to Metru-Nui does go into the Mata Nui Robot's head. Metru-Nui is basically his "brain," as it sits above the robot's central processor.
Hope this helps clarify things! If you're curious about anything else, I'd recommend BIONICLEsector01 for more info! Thanks a lot, this really helps! |

1c) Has it been stated that they are run by electricity? 2c) There is no such mask that I am aware of, nor do we know that baterra are bio-mechanical. I don't recall it being stated that they have organic parts. 3c) I can't speculate on what is going on with any aspect of Gen 2. As you said, I am not involved in it. |
kllyann | 2016-05-12 10:19 UTC–5 PermalinkCould a Toa convert matter of their element into energy of their element and absorb it? |
voporak1 | 2016-05-12 15:31 UTC–5 PermalinkHello Mr Greg
1. Why there had been no a Toa Nui in the story? Yet there's been a Matoran Nui and Turaga Nui.
2. If there would have been a Toa Nui in the story, would he be able with his elemental powers to do the same things as Mata Nui could do in his world but on a smaller scale? Like, control the land, weather and so on.
3. Would it be possible for a Makuta who lost most of his powers due to some reason: broken armor or mutation to regain all of his powers? If yes, how? |
MorroLaval13 | 2016-05-12 16:00 UTC–5 PermalinkI have 2 questions; 1.Do you like the new BIONICLE theme or you prefer your own storyline? 2.Did you know that Karzahni's name sounds like 'kazahni' that means boiler in Greek?(In Greece we BIONICLE fans have it as a joke.) |
srlojohn | 2016-05-12 16:18 UTC–5 Permalinkin reference to question 2, the name is mis leading it controles mechanicle things whether they are mechanical or not
for question 3, in know that you are not involved. i was just wondering what you think.
for question 1, not that i know of i just assumed they were. |

1-2) Because Toa Nui is a myth. There's no proof one has ever existed or could exist. 3) In the case of broken armor, the Makuta can get its powers back by possessing another body. As far as mutation goes, I suppose it would be a matter of reversing the mutation. |

1) Since I work for LEGO Company, there's not much point in asking about my personal preferences. As an employee, I hope for the success of every line. 2) No, I didn't |

They sort of already do. For example, we know that a Toa of Fire can absorb all the heat in an area, and a Toa of Water can draw on all the moisture in an area. |
Verrack333 | 2016-05-13 19:38 UTC–5 PermalinkHello Greg Farshtey. I never really asked a question in this topic, but I admire the work that you do, and I've been a Bionicle fan for over ten years now, and it's a pleasure being able to talk to you.
So out of all the pages in this I'm sure you been asked this before, but I have to ask you, what is your favorite book out of all the series? |
