Hello Greg! I have a couple questions about recent happenings in the Bionicle Story line - Who is the imprisoned Great Being in the chamber where Vezon teleports Axxon, Brutaka, Helryx, Lewa, Miserex, and Artakha? What happens to the forementioned characters? How does Velika play into this? I know he was a Great Being is disguise, but I'm kind of lost after that. And are you ever going to update BionicleStory.com?
1) Not sure what you mean by who -- are you looking for his name? 2) Nothing has happened to them at this point. 3) Play into what?

ok... then i ask something else: 1) when the 2005 arc was written, what was your influences to write that story? 2) what character do you think (in all of the bionicle main universe) that dont deserve to be dead? 3) (this one is not a bionicle question) do we will see more interesting things in ninjago? 4) what characters do you think that would have a love interest?
1) I didn't come with the overall arc for 2005, Bob Thompson did. 2) I don't have any whose death I regretted 3) Sure 4) I don't believe in putting love interests into this stuff. At the age these things are aimed at, most boys are still going, "Girls, yuck!" and have no interest in reading romance stories anymore than I want to write them.

A few more questions! Thanks for answering! 1. How well do you think the Cryoshell songs fit in with the overall feel of Bionicle? 2. Did you like the songs? 3. Theoretically, if Bionicle were to return with a jump to the future (To make it easier for new fans to get into it), would you explain the endings of Yesterday Quest and The Powers That Be?
1) I never paid that much attention to them 3) How would it help new fans to explain the ending of a story they never read?
You misunderstand me, I meant jumping to the future would help new fans. And if you. theoretically, jumped to the future with the story, would you give the old fans a nod with the conclusions of Yesterday Quest and The Powers That Be?
That would be up to whether LEGO wanted me to. They might, they might not. They might feel that posting story officially that had nothing to do with current story or current characters would confuse new fans.
Yeah, but otherwise, Bionicle would get the reputation of having a story line that won't be finished. New fans might fear that it will happen again, and that would cost LEGO some buyers!
Why are you assuming new fans will even know that? A kid who is, say, 9 in 2015 would have been 4 in 2010 when BIONICLE ended. I doubt he was paying attention when he was 4.

I assume that because the internet is already full of things like 'Bring Bionicle Back!'. Think about how these old fans would react after a reboot: 'Bring Old Bionicle Back!' or 'Finish Old Bionicle!'. If I would be ten or eleven, I would just hit some links, and I would find out that Bionicle's previous story line wasn't finished which let to a lot of confused fans. That must be a reason for some fans to be cautious about buying a lot of sets. That is my best hope for LEGO to give you the oppertunity to finish the old story line!

If Bionicle were to return, would you suggest a reboot or a continuation of the series?

1. Do you think you will ever be able to continue the story? 2. What is your favorite element? 3. What's the connection between the red star and the lightning from the red star that hit the Toa Inika?
1) Right now, there is no demand from the company that I do so and no place official to post it, so it's not a priority. 2) Ice 3) Um, well, the lightning came from the red star, so there's a connection
Hmm, I wonder if that lightning could had something to do with the star malfunctioning.

What's up with Takua/Takanuva and tunnels? He seemed annoyed when he and Jaller came upon the long-abandoned Onu-Koro Highway. He said the "Tunnels!" line like he were annoyed, and stomped on the ground. Is he afraid of the dark or what is it?

He already said he's suggest a sort of reboot, where the story takes place sometime in the future, with a new cast of characters. And og that happens, I hope that we, at least some day, gets to go back and see past gaps getting filled in some way
And I also hope it wouldn't be the last we get to see of many of these memoranda and iconic characters like the Toa Nuva and the Shadowed One. I also hope that the events Greg wrote about after the defeat of Makuta Teridax won't simply be omitted and retconned :/ The plot about Marendar, Gaardus, Pohatu and Kopaka's visit to the Red Star, them ginding The Kestora in it, and ginding Mavrah, it's all too interesting to simply trash. It has so much potential. Maybe we'll find a way to wrap those things up, perhaps with new fan-created canon contests on BZPower I really hope so.

Storm - I would not be allowed to look at suggestions for sets, but regardless, another season is already planned for 2014.

rud01 wrote: Hi Mr. Farshtey, I have a few questions about HERO FACTORY. 1. What is the proper chronological order of the following: the brain attack web episode, Secret Mission 3: Collision Course, Secret Mission 4: Robot Rampage and Secret Mission 5: Mirror World? 2. Also, if it so happens that the web episode takes place before Stringer is stuck on Tranquis VII, why is he not present? 3. Where's Nex throughout the Brain Attack saga? Thanks again, rud01
Hi Rud - 1) I don't worry about fitting the novels into chronology, particularly since I have nothing to do with the web episodes. 3) No idea. Someone on the HF story team would need to answer that.

Do you think there should be new ninja sets like derrith's dojo zanes farther's tree house or prison or even the garmadon mech from when the ninja tried to steal the helmet or the over lord in dragon form and how about the clock that counts down to the final battle or even the ninja when they become evil will you design any of these sets and characters GREG FARSHTEY
I don't design sets, Storm. There will be new Ninjago sets in 2014.
