Hey Greg,

What was your favorite year of BIONICLE?

Also, the question everyone's been thinking of but never saying...

DO YOU LIKE PIZZA?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Joking

Also, you keep saying that Time Trap was your favorite book to write. Why?

1) 2004

2) I think I already answered this Smile

3) Well, I loved the concept, and also, I see it as the book that reinvigorated Makuta. Before that, he was just this entity who was always talking about how powerful he was and then losing. I redid him into someone who lost ON PURPOSE sometimes just to mess with your head ... someone with much more complex schemes.

Oh, another queston, did you enjoy writing the Ninjago books or the Bioncle books better? Oh, and which them do you like better, Ninjago, or Bioncle?

They both are fun in different ways, but Ninjago is harder. When you do a graphic novel, you switch back and forth between art direction and writing dialogue, so you keep jumping in and out of the story. When you write a novel, you are always immersed in the story.

Was Bionicle cancelled unexpectedly?

If it was, did you have any more story planned?

If you did, can you give us a brief description of it?

I am not sure how to answer this, because it wasn't unexpected to the people who made the decision. But yes, we always were planning ahead on story, so no matter when it would have ended, we would have had more story planned.

Sorry I did not post this on my last post but I have another question for you Greg.

4) Why was Ahkmou supposed to be a shadow Toa as a set in 2008?Was this part of the storyline?

If he had been a set, he would have been part of storyline. Sets came first, story details came second.

Hello Greg! I am not to much of a fan of your books or Bionicle (The first time I opened a bioncle package I got into a super bad car crash. I mean, exactly as I opened it. Bad expiennce!), and I dont watch TV so I want able to see your series Ninjago, but I was able to catch some of the seasons on YouTube. I have to say, they were pretty good.

How did you come up with such good character traits? Any reason why you picked the name "Ninjago"? Did you have any idea what your plot would grow into?

Somee other questions: I am a big fan of Star Wars. Are you?    I am writing a new book on a Verpine Jedi called Beyghor Sahdett. (The Verpine are a specis of insects that are interligent from SW). Any idea what I shoudl call the book?

Hi -- I didn't create Ninjago, I just write the graphic novels for it. I did so some Star Wars work back when I was in the game industry, but not a ton at LEGO. My staffer, Daniel Lipkowitz, is the big SW guy here.

Actually, I have the Star Wars Roleplaying Guide: Second Edition that was originally released back in the 90s. I was pleasantly surprised to see one of my favorite authors had been involved in it. Thanks again, Mr. Farshtey! Nerd

1) No

2) Because his ... strangeness ... made a lot more sense if you considered that he was actually a Great Being. In some ways, his manner of speech was a way of toying with his creations.

1)  Okay.

2)  Okay, that does make sense. Smile

Hello, Mr. Farshtey.

I can't believe I just typed that.

Anyways, I could spend all day lavishing praise on you and your library of work, but I'll just say THANKS for the donations you've made to the worlds of Ninjago, Bionicle, Hero Factory, and all of your other contributions. Smile

I've got a few questions for you.

Could you give me some writing tips? How do you make your characters so compelling? Or your environments so lifelike?

Can you give me some insights into the life of a Bionicle? Where do they come from? What's the deal with the "Red Star Reincarnation" thing? If not robots exactly, what are they? Some kind of bio-organic life form? How did the universe come into being?

How did you come to be here on the MBs, answering questions? What was your reaction? Do you like the Messageboards?

Which if any LEGO sets do you have?

How did you come up with your username?

Have you ever had a dream about Bionicle, or something else you were writing?

That's probably more than enough questions. Thank you for your time! Wink

I will get back to you later on these, if that's okay. There's a lot here.

Sorry about that, Mr. Farshtey. I kind of overwhelmed you, huh. Embarrassed Sometimes my fanboy side takes hold and I just go nuts. Joking

Welcome to the LEGO MESSAGE BOARDS!!! I'm your biggest fan!!! Okay now for the questions, before I get overwhelmed by GregF's patented brand of epicness.

1. Do you have any plans to continue Bionicle stories?

2. Will a Shadow Toa finally make a starring appearance?

3. Could you please make a Facebook page so we can contact you?

4. Will Zaktan from an alternate dimension ever get to the main dimension of Bionicle? I'm a huge Zaktan fan!

5. If you ever get the rights to Bionicle, would you partner with a major corporation, such as Marvel, DC, or Dark Horse?

6. How is Mazeka both a boss and a Matoran? The two don't usually go hand in hand. Joking

7. Will you ever name the Golden Skinned Being?

8. Is there any limit to your epicness?

9. Sorry I'm swamping you with questions, I'm a crazy fan boy. Joking

1-2) No plans to do more BIONICLE story at this time

3) I have tried to avoid doing that. Facebook is for my friends and my family, I don't want it to become another place about work.

4) See answer to 1-2

5) I could never afford the rights to BIONICLE.

6) I don't understand your question

7) Probably not, I have no more approved names to use.
