Dear Mr. Farshtey,
I'm not sure if anyone's asked you this before, but what does a Great Being resemble in it's true form? Do they each have their own unique form, or are part of a single race?

What the GBs look like was never detailed in a story bible, because we had no plans to show them in their true form. But my own feeling is that they were part of the same species as the Glatorian.

Able to independently fight.

3.what happened to nektan and Vultraz.

4.What would happen if the toa ignika
would made a nova blast.

1) See answer above

2) I don't  understand your questions

3) Nektann was imprisoned. Vultraz was being studied by the Great Beings in the alternate universe.

4) Either everything -- including objects -- would come to life within a certain range, or else everything within a certain range would die

Don't know. My daughter is too young still to go to  movies, so I don't get to the movies that much.

Who do you think would have the ability to stop Velika?

BTW, aren't Velika's powers no more than that of a regular Po-Matoran (along with his engineering talent)?

Velika is a Great Being hiding in the form of a Matoran -- essentially, a scientist-king. So there is no telling what kind of weaponry/devices he has access to, given the inventive genius of the GBs. He knows every detail of the creation of the beings of the MU, which also means he knows how to destroy them. I think you would need an alliance of good and bad, plus the help of at least one GB, to stop him.

Would Marendar be able to stop him at all, or even slow him down? I don't think he was 'in the loop' when Marendar was created.

I can't see Marendar caring to stop him. Marendar is focused on his own goals, and right now, Velika would not be in the way of those.

Hey, Greg, since Marendar intends to destroy the Toa, and one, if not more, of Velika's targets were toa, wouldn't it make sense if the two teamed up, Velika and Marendar?

I could Velika using Marendar temporarily.

Greg, if a Level 9 Great Disk that had a Remove Poison power existed, how powerful would it be? I always imagined it being strong enough to cure a Hordika of visorak venom or something like that.

It's a good question. For one thing, does a venom that does not actually kill you count as a poison?

This is probably a really really really random question, but what did the Bionicle charcters eat? I remember from the games that the Ga-Korans fished, but there wasn't a whole lot after that.

Also, are the Toa the same "age" as the matoran and turaga? From the way it seems, the matoran and turaga are the same age, but just act differently, and the Toa are younger but act older...

Also, did you do any work on the Bionicle movies, such as story design?

1) Matoran Universe characters fed on energy which they could absorb by touch. On Mata Nui, they were absorbing it from things like fruit and fish. In Metru Nui, they had central power stations that they could absorb energy from.

2) The Toa Mata were constructed about the same time as the Matoran were, but they were in stasis for much of the time.

3) I wrote the story for the 2009 movie, that is the only involvement I had with the films.

Hey Greg,

I have loved Bionicle since it began, and I've recently been expanding my interest with character-based art. I was interested in trying to draw the characters from Yesterday Quest (Chiara, Orde, Zaria), but in reading the posted chapters, it never identifies their masks or tools. So I was curious: If you could give each a mask and/or tool, what would it be?

Wow. I would have to think about that and go back and read the story again.

For that matter, have you considered creating up a set of Great Being when BIONICLE was still online?

Taks in advance.

No, we never made plans to make a GB set, because we had no plans to make them central characters in story.

1) I would, but the direction of the story would be coming from the overall story team, like before, not just from me.

3. How big is the Red star compared to GSR ? I would think it has to be at least as big as Metru Nui to house so much inhabitants...

PS: Have you decided on the answer to my previous question yet ? Happy

1) I don't think that could happen. I think the mask and body were probably one

2) Not that I am aware of.

3) Well, it also served as a rocket pack on his back when he was traveling, so it had to be at least big enough to provide enough thrust for that

4) I don't remember your previous question

My previous question and your previous answer were:

1. Can the legendary masks be infected ?

1) Good question. Let me think about  it.

My guess would be no.

1.Why ? Is it because of their power ?

2.Can someone using a Mask of time interfere with a use of Kanohi Mohtrek ?

3.I do not fully understand what would happen to a Mohtrek user, if one of hs former selves would be destroyed

Cold you please explain it to me ?

1) Yes, and because I think infecting masks at that level of power would  unbalance the story

2)  You can use the Mask of Time to slow down or speed up time around the user of the Mohtrek, making it, for example, take a lot longer to use that mask. But I don't see how you would affect the mask power beyond that.

3) Pretty simple, really. Let's say Teridax is wearing the Mohtrek in 2003 story. He is about to fight Takanuva, so he uses the mask to summon Teridax from 2001 story to  help him.

During the battle, 2001 Teridax dies. Since his future self cannot exist if his past self has been killed, 2003 Teridax vanishes and an alternate timeline is automatically created where Teridax did not exist in 2002 or 2003 story.

It's basically the same as the old time travel conundrum, what if you went back to the past and accidentally killed your own grandfather before your father was born? Well, you would cease to exist ... and a new timeline would be created where neither you nor your father were ever born.

Dear Greg,

1) What is your favorate event or era of History to read about?

2) How long did the Core War last?  Months, years?

3) What would happen if the Red Star crashed landed on Spherus Magna?

Thanks,
