Okay. I have a few more question including the one that I posted that's above this post,
1. Who is your personal favorite Ninja?
2.What Inspired you to make ninjago?
3.If Ninjago had an epic battle against Bionicle, who would win?
P.S. I bet you're starting to think that I'm getting overboard with asking you questions, but Ninjago is probably my 4 solid favorite theme. I bet you'll understand. |
Paploo2 | 2013-12-12 21:39 UTC–5 PermalinkDear Greg, If you can't put on the mask of life without dying, how can anyone use it's power and thus want it? Thanks. I've decided that I like Froot Loops better than Cheerios. |
Daler99 | 2013-12-12 23:21 UTC–5 PermalinkHi again. What was the year of BIONICLE that you like the least? |

Best answer I can give is you that it was most likely discontinued for the same reason any long-standing line would be -- declining sales. I think there was a general lessening of enthusiasm at retail and among fans, and it was felt that it was better to end it while there was still some excitement out there for it than to wait until it was dead. If you wait for it to die, you really can't ever bring it back ... if there are still fans out there when you end it, you have the option to bring it back someday. |

I don't recall us ever saying that you cannot wear the mask without dying. In The Kingdom alternate BIONICLE universe, Matoro wore the mask but did not save Mata Nui and he did not die. In our universe, Matoro died using it because that was how it had to be to bring Mata Nui back to life. |

Daler99 | 2013-12-13 11:11 UTC–5 PermalinkWhy? Did you not like the premise? Was the plot not one that you liked? (Aside from Time Trap?) |
Paploo2 | 2013-12-13 11:11 UTC–5 PermalinkHELLO GREG, THER'ES NEWS ALL OVER EUROBRICKS OF A NEW CONSTRACTION FIGURE THEME. YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT THAT, DO YOU? |
becorey | 2013-12-13 11:24 UTC–5 Permalinkhi greg,i have a couple questions for you:first, while i was playing the mata nui online game yesterday,i noticed that puku and huki were the original spellings of those characters, but for the '03 wave of sets they were changed to pewku and hewki.were you aware of this change, and if so,why did it occur?secondly, you mentioned that 2005 was your least favorite year of bionicle.would you care to say why,or is there just no reason?and lastly, you said that the sets come first, but in the set Jetrax t6 the red makuta(i forgot his name)is included instead of kopaka, and if the sets do come before the story, how could they know he was going to steal the jetrax in the story,so they could include him in the set?i know that you didn't design the sets, but i just thought you might know. |

1) The timing was awkward - doing a story that took place during the story from the last year confused a LOT of fans. 2) I did not believe that having Vakama go bad made story sense -- he was the Toa who was the most proud of being one and took it the most seriously. He wouldn't go bad that easily. That was a case of forcing a character to do something that was against his character, for reasons that went beyond story, and I did not feel it rang true for fans.
3) I don't mind dark stories as a rule, but this was dark and depressing
4) On the set level, kids could not tell the good guys from the bad guys and it hurt the product line that year |

@1) Do you mean that it took place before the ending scene of Legends of Metru Nui? @2) True, but you did a good job of making him turn bad. @3) Hmm. Good point. @4) I guess that makes sense, but couldn't the same be said for 2006? Both the Piraka and the Toa Inika had teeth. Well, I guess the Toa did not look quite as evil as the Piraka. |

I remember that the Bionicle Encyclopedia stated, "[Nuju's] stated reason for the change was that if someone did not make an effort to understand him, that being was not worth Nuju's time to talk to.", meaning ppl had to be patient to speak to him. BTW, is Nuju making any attempt to get a new translator after the transformation and death of Matoro? If Bionicle were an MMORPG, what species do you think would be playable? What's your favorite TV show? Is it possible that Mimic secretly knows that the Shadowed One keeps his friend captive, but still works for the Dark Hunters anyway? Also, when Matoran were brought into being, could there have sometimes been glitches (ex. a female Su-Matoran, or a Ba-Matoran with purple, black, and green armor)? |
