What happens to Corehunter and Arctur?

Not something I can answer. I wasn't involved with the Hero Factory story team, so I have no idea what they had in mind for these characters.

Whats fire lords backstory?

According to the Ordeal of Fire episode, Fire lord and his gang were once simple mining bots that inexplicably gained fire powers. These fire powers turned them evil, and made them try to blow everything up.

Hi Greg,

Here are two questions from two different posts that you missed, and a new one.

1) This one's about this passage of ST, some of the inner thoughts of Sahmad:

"I realized that I could have dreamed Annona out of existence before, but didn't. Maybe because somehow I knew it wouldn't work. If the golden being could have eliminated Annona that easily, he would have done so."

What exactly was stopping the GSB from eliminating Annona?

2) The "Abilities and Traits" section on the GBs' BS01 page incorrectly states this:

"While lacking the raw physicality of many of their creations, Great Beings have greater ethereal powers. They are able to manipulate many facets of their creations, and can appear invisible to them at will, as well as being able to communicate to them across dimensions. Despite their semi-ethereal natures, the Great Beings are not immune to physical impact and can be injured with enough force.

The Great Being that was driven insane and locked away had the power to freeze temporal space around subjects."

I corrected the error with the accurate information, (that they are just scientists and all their powers come from their technology) but one member undid my edit. His point was that for the Mad GB to make all those things mentioned above, they had to have had at least some powers. Now, just for clarification, could you confirm that all those things the Mad GB did, he achieved through technology?

3) You said that Annona is a unique being, but I found an older post on this thread in wich you said that she was part of a species, and she was the only one of its members to inhabit SM. Wich one of the two statements is correct?

Thanks

I think this was buried.

I happened to see a post on another board that I felt I needed to respond to -- yet another resurrection of this idea that I was somehow in total control of the BIONICLE storyline and was free to write whatever I wanted.

This is nonsense. Even after the line officially ended, everything I wrote -- books, comics, serials, everything -- had to be approved by LEGO Company before it went out. If there was an issue with something, then it got discussed (either directly with me or with the publisher, if need be) and if it had to get changed, it got changed. NOBODY writes stories for LEGO properties on their own, with no involvement from the company, whether they work here or they are a freelancer. To think otherwise is basically a matter of not understanding how writing for someone else's intellectual property works.

Fair enough. The only thing I can speak to is the story bible, which as I said did not mention the Vahi at all. I had no involvement with the aborted PC game, and the one person I know who did left LEGO Company 11 years ago. So I don't have info on what was and was not going to be in the game.

Okay, thank you. I've been trying to figure out which elements of the PC game made their way into other Bionicle media and which ones didn't. To me the Vahi felt kind of tacked on to the 2003 storyline and when I learned it was in the game it made me curious, is all. Smile

When did you officially join the Bionicle story team? I assumed that since you started doing the comics in 2001 you would've been privy to the concepts in the PC game, since it was going to the be the main story vehicle for that year.

MELDING TERIDAX CAN HAS DARK POWAH??!!

In other words; has Melding Teridax ever used the Krahkaan? It would be helpful for detecting the evil in someone.

Hey Greg! Hope you are doing well.

I realize it's a long shot, but you've mentioned the 2001 story bible a few times, and I was curious whether you might ever be able to share it (or parts of it). Since it's sort of the genesis of the Bionicle story, it would be really incredible for us fans to see, but I understand sharing it might be an issue as far as how much the LEGO Group is willing to make public.

Thanks!

Adding onto this: are Skrall and Glatorian genetically close enough that any resultant offspring are fertile? Or have they diverged far enough that hybrids either don't exist or are infertile?

I think that the scralls are just savage glatorian, but the Vorox are a dfiferent species

No; the Vorox are just the Glatorian of the Sand Tribe while the Skrall are a different species

He wears the kraahkan to show that he can conquer the darkness within himself, and be a good person. He COULD use it, but it would go against his strict moral code.
