joybelle44 | 2016-07-30 23:53 UTC–5 PermalinkIMO it would've had a far better chance if it was made on LEGO Ideas rather than as an ordinary petition. |

1) Since I was not involved with Gen2, I can't speak to what their thinking would be on this. My understanding was that the intent of the Netflix series was to wrap up the story. While I am sure there was a general idea of what 2017 would have been, they may or may not have gotten as far as doing a detailed story bible before the decision to cancel was made. 2) No idea. That would be something going to people way above my pay grade. |
geodude671 | 2016-07-31 19:15 UTC–5 Permalink1) Yes or no: Do you personally know why Bionicle G2 was cancelled?
2) What masks did Vican and Vultraz wear before becoming Shadow Matoran?
3) If I recall correctly only Light Matoran (and Shadow Matoran that were previously Light Matoran) had larger forms while in Karda Nui compared to Matoran outside that area (this is why Takanuva was huge that year). Since Vican, Mazeka, and Vultraz use the same parts and are roughly the same size but are/were Air, Ice, and Fire Matoran respectively, does this mean that they are canonically larger than normal Matoran, or is this a case of the sets and the story disagreeing with each other? |
geodude671 | 2016-07-31 20:28 UTC–5 PermalinkThis is a question to Greg the consumer, not Greg the LEGO employee: What would you personally have liked to see for the next year's wave if Bionicle had gone on another year? |
Wilmerkardell | 2016-07-31 21:09 UTC–5 PermalinkOk so, I have asked about this earlier, and last time the answers were mostely no. But it would seem that it was not noticed, so I want to bring it to the light (and I can't look through 800 messages) so, once and for all...
1. a) Did the Vorox evolve naturally, or were they modified by the Great Beings? b) Did the Great Beings have any effect on the process of the transformation of the Vorox? 2. Did Agori/Glatorian have any biomechanic implants? Are they born with them?
Thank you, Greg |
TeShadowedOne1 | 2016-08-01 01:25 UTC–5 PermalinkHello Mr. Farshtey. I have a few questions to ask if you have the time.
1. On Voya Nui when the Piraka took control of the Matoran with Antidermis spheres and freed by the Inika. If Energized Protodermis destroys Antidermis because Teridax is not destined to transform and does not destroy the host. Would he have been destroyed if he fell into the pool of Protodermis without Takanuva in the film, Mask of Light?
2. Was Velika ever afraid of being destroyed or slaved by the Piraka on Voya Nui? What would he have done if his life was at stake? Would he have revealed himself as a Great Being or find another way out of the situation?
3. Since Teridax (before he took control from Miserix) and Brutaka (before he left for the Order) were both lieutenants in the Brotherhood of Makuta's armies, did they know each other? Or at least did they meet at one point?
4. How did Teridax become Miserix's most trusted lieutenant? And why after the betrayal did Teridax want him deceased? Was there any loyalty between them or friendship before the convocation meeting? Or was Teridax planning to rid himself of Miserix since the beginning?
5. Was it always intended with the Great Plan that Teridax would take control of the Great Spirit body? Why him instead of any of his other brothers? And why would they assume that he wouldn't betray them all when he had ultimate power?
6. Since Vezon became fused with an Olmak and if he learned to use this newfound power, would he have more ability to use the powers of dimensional gateways than just wearing the mask? Like doing things that an ordinary Kanohi-wielder could not?
Thank you for your time. Also going back to read the books as an adult especially Dark Destiny reminds me how great Bionicle was with your storytelling. |

I will get to questions 2 or 3 later, but to answer #1 -- no one has sat down with me and specifically discussed this, because there was no reason to do so. But traditionally, if a line gets cancelled prematurely, it's because set sales were not where we wanted them to be. That was why G1 was cancelled. |

No opinion, Geo. My involvement with G2 was limited to editing the material that was in the Club magazine about it. I wasn't on the story team so I really wasn't worrying about what upcoming products might be. |

portal171 | 2016-08-01 12:18 UTC–5 PermalinkGreg are you planning on adding new ninjas to ninjago |
joybelle44 | 2016-08-02 06:35 UTC–5 PermalinkThere are a couple of things I'm curious about re. the gold-skinned Skakdi Fusion:
1) It said to Sahmad that it planned to leave its fortress, and that they would cross paths again. What was its plan? 2) Is Velika aware of its existence? If so, what are his plans for it? |
ScribeGT6817 | 2016-08-02 09:11 UTC–5 Permalink
1) I didn't have a favorite 2) Don't know. Most of my favorite G1 characters were ones we didn't meet until after the Toa went back to Metru Nui and we were in the MU. To my knowledge, there were no plans to introduce a setting like that in G2, I think the whole thing was going to be on Okoto. So I am not sure any of those characters would have "fit" into G2 story. |

It's not up to me, Portal. I am not on the NINJAGO story team. |

1) It's a good question. Does the EP destroying the antidermis automatically mean Makuta would be destroyed by it, or just that those spheres were destined to be destroyed by it? 2) I would say aware of the possibility, but not afraid. Velika would have seen himself as way smarter than anyone he ran up against and would have been confident that he could have gotten out of the situation. I doubt he would have revealed himself as a GB, because why would the Piraka have believed him? 3) Possible 4) Teridax was smart and capable. As for the second part of your question, when you depose someone, you kill them to make sure they don't mount an uprising against you. |

1) Did I say they can't be used ON an Agori, or that an Agori could not create one? 2) They are aware of Takadox, certainly, the same way they are aware of the other Barraki. But it is going to take time before any Barraki can get sufficiently acclimated to be able to pose any threat, so I don't think they are top priority right now. They are under surveillance. |
