Oh okay, so you were already in the area. |
OnionShark | 2015-12-05 12:53 UTC–5 PermalinkHi Greg, I have some questions:
1. What do Ussal Crabs eat? Are they carnivors? 2. Are all of the Toa Mangai from different islands, or do some of them come from the same one? 3. Does a Ba-Toa have more control over gravity than the Kanohi Garai or vice versa? 4. Approximatley, how old is Annona? 5. Was she born before the Agori species? 6a. Do Glatorian and Agori have the same lifespan? 6b. If yes, do Great Beings have a longer lifespan than them? 7a. Do Glatorian and Agori descend from the same species? 7b. If yes, are they related in any way to the GB's? 8. Does any Agori or Glatorian know about Annona, beside Sahmad? 9a. I've heard that you don't think that redemption stories are unrealistic, is that true? 9b. If yes, why? |
iJamesusa | 2015-12-05 15:03 UTC–5 PermalinkGreg, do you love working at LEGO? It has always been my dream. |

fish32 | 2015-12-05 21:43 UTC–5 Permalink1) I would think that Teridax's Plan would hinge upon the fact that he can control machinery as Antidermis, as that's the way that he takes over the GSR. But, in The Mutran Chronicles, it shows that the Makuta went through their evolution after Teridax came up with his Plan. So, what did Teridax plan to do when he first had the idea? What was the significance of the knowledge that the universe was a giant robot if it didn't mean that he could become the universe? 7) Did the Makuta Mistika choose their insectoid forms and then the mutagen locked them in them, or did they have different forms before and the mutagen changed them to look like insects? |

1) Well, remember, his initial plan was to win the Matoran of Metru Nui over to his side. Had he succeeded in doing that, he would have de facto controlled the robot's brain. His plan was to knock Mata Nui out and stage a coup by getting the Matoran to worship him. He had no way to know at the start that Mata Nui would wind up dying as a consequence of the crash. So at that point the plan changed. At least, that is how I see it. 2) No. 2b) No.
3) Yes 4) Don't recall 5) Yes. But it rarely became necessary. 6) Soon after establishing the base at Odina 7) The former |

I don't recall all of them, to be honest. |

1, 4, 10) Not involved with new BIONICLE at all, so I can't answer questions regarding it. 2) Declining set sales. 3) No 5) No 6) There have been too many sets over the years for me to remember them all 7) The Nuva symbols were the key for the lock that kept the Bahrag imprisoned 8) I don't look at fan-generated content 9) It's what's called a "co-promotion." Certain toys are sold exclusively through restaurants - every kid who goes in sees the toy, and it drives traffic to the restaurant. 11) No 12) BIONICLE was just getting established in 2001 and 2002, no one knew if it would be successful, so there was no movie deal until 2002. And the 2005 movie did not sell well, so there was no interest in movies for a while after that. 13) No, I really don't MOC. |

tiche9999 | 2015-12-07 13:07 UTC–5 PermalinkHey Greg-Sama, in which year (BCG) did the Raid on Artakha take place? |
BrickConductor | 2015-12-07 14:16 UTC–5 Permalink
Thanks for answering! Just so you know, bionicle is my favorite LEGO theme, followed by ninjago. Thank you for helping make those themes! I can see why web of shadows didn't sell well. It wasn't that great. (Sorry, I didn't really like it) it is probably the ABSOLUTE WORST year of bionicle. Do you agree? If you could make any changes to that story, what changes would you make? |
BackCap | 2015-12-07 14:55 UTC–5 PermalinkHey Greg,
I had a question about a quote from the Rahi Beasts Guide. Not sure if you remember it, but thought I'd check. It's a quote by Rahaga Pouks on the Kanohi Dragon entry:
"I asked Vakama about this beast. The Kanohi Drag Does this mean that Vakama was not yet "born" when the dragon attacked or is it just that he was somewhere else when it happened?

Mishkaiel | 2015-12-07 18:47 UTC–5 PermalinkI can't believe I went a year on the MBs without noticing this topic. And apparently it's still active.
I have no questions (yet), but I do want to thank you for writing such amazing books, Greg. I'm 19 and in college, but I've read and reread Bionicle countless times. I had Bionicle figures before I started collecting LEGO brick sets too. So a big thank you for writing all that.

Are you content with the way Teridax died? If not, how would you have changed it had the original BIONICLE not been cancelled? |
