Are you going to be doing a new comic with the release of the new bionicle? And what are your opinions on the new ninjago and bionicle themes?

1) I'm not, no. I believe there are going to be graphic novels coming out, but I am not writing them. There isn't going to be a comic book like last time.

2) Asking a LEGO employee a question like this is sort of like asking a Honda employee if they like Hondas. Besides, what matters is what the kids these lines are aimed at think, not what I think - I am not the intended audience.

Mr. Farshtey, will you be writing the LEGO Nexo Knights TV show?

No, I'm really not involved with NEXO KNIGHTS, beyond magazine work here and there. And LEGO TV shows are almost always written by professional screenwriters out in Hollywood.

More than a friend? that is love being involved in a book you wrote, even though you made love uncannon before then Joking

Can this contraditction to cannon be explained? Joking

Well, I have friends -- people I can go to lunch with, or go to a movie with, or talk about work with -- and then I have FRIENDS, the people I share really good stuff and really bad stuff in my life, people I can tell anything to and I know will be there no matter what. Those aren't romantic relationships, but I consider them a step above "friend."

Hello Mr Farshtey,

I have a question that's probably been asked before so sorry if you've already had to answer it. Joking How soon did you personally find out that Mata Nui was a giant robot? Thinking Or was that known right from the start?

Thank you! Happy

That was part of the very first story bible, back in 2000. MN being a robot was the original concept for BIONICLE.

When Bionicle was originaly planned to end in 2001, was this planned to be revealed?

Good job on keeping it a secret for 7 years, thoughWink

Well, the original plan was to reveal it at the end of 2001, since no one was certain BIONICLE would last more than a year.

Just curious, how were you planning to reveal that? Since Mata Nui (island) was on Mata Nui's (robot) face, wouldn't they all fall off, espically when the Bohrok hadn't arrived to "clean" the island?

I don't know what the plan was for that. It probably would have been revealed in the PC game that ultimately got cancelled.

Question about Legendary Kanohi:

I know I've asked this before, but I didn't quite get a clear answer: Since there disastorus effects (time unraveling, everyone dying) when Legendeary Kanohi are destroyed, are they basically time bombs now? Because all things deteriorate after a while, so does this essentially spell doom for the whole universe? Or a deteriation will have no effect, becuase it is just a natural decay?

No, because there is no evidence that these masks affect the universe outside of Mata Nui. Why would the Great Beings, for example, create a mask that would kill THEM if it broke? If the Ignika "went off," it would only kill MU beings, not anyone else. If the Mask of Time breaks, it's not going to affect time in the whole universe ... it's like a clock in a bomb. If it's in the bomb, it has the potential to be lethal - if it's not in the bomb, it doesn't.

9. Sorry, I meant the fact that they were always active. For example, Kongu's Suletu, Jaller's Calix, Hewkii's Mask of Accuracy and Hahli's Mask of Detection. They were active so long as the mask was on. Was this because the masks were in a more 'organic' form akin to the Toa Inika, or was it a feature of the mask alone?

13. The Agori/Galtorian elemntal tribes e.g. Fire, Water, Iron, Jungle, Earth etc.

Thanks for responding to all my questions Smile

1) I think it was because the masks were living organisms

13) No, there is no significant genetic difference between tribes

Keep in mind that this sort of thing was also going on in the 2004 and 2005 movies, and the novels had to live in the movie universe since the series included movie novelizations.
