I have a question somewhat related to that. There has been a theory floating around that the Turaga knew that Takua was the Seventh Toa, a least after the discovery of the Mask of Light. The theory is founded on the principle that the Turaga probably had suspected that Takua was destined to be a Toa anyways, given that he found the Toa Stones. After he found the mask, they simply put two and two together. However they didn't tell him and allowed him to keep up the lie that Jaller was actually the Herald, hoping that the journey would mature him and he would accept his responsibility. This is supported by a comment made by Vakama to Takanuva, that his journey was never meant to be external but internal. There are also speculation that they let Jaller in on it, given by his constant effort to get Takua to take the mask, as well as his famous dying line, "You know who you are."
Was this what was intended by the movie story team? Or if you don't know, do you think that, from an in-universe perspective, this is a plausible thing that might have happened? |

1) I think if the screenwriter had this in mind, it would have just been stated in the movie. 2) Certainly the notion of the Turaga keeping secrets is usually a safe one to embrace. My question, though, is this: given what was going on in MOL, with the Rahkshi attack and all, knowing and not telling Takua was actually putting all of the Matoran in serious jeopardy. That does not rule out your theory as being accurate, but I think you would need to tack on why they would continue to keep it secret when the whole island was in mortal peril. |

Hm...good point. I guess its possible that they simply weren't able to tell them. I mean, when they left to take the journey, the Rahkshi hadn't come out yet and they had been having peaceful times, so no reason to worry then. And once the Rahkshi had arrived, it could be that they just couldn't get in contact with them. They were wandering around in the wilderness, and it was a big island. And we know that news travels pretty slow there because Onu-Koro had only just found out about the Mask of Light at all by the time the second wave of Rahkshi were sent. So I guess even if they had wanted to tell them, there was simply no way to do it in the time they had. |

iJamesusa | 2015-08-13 18:56 UTC–5 PermalinkI can't believe I get to ask you this, Greg! I have about 3,048,573,782 questions to ask, so I narrowed it down to a few:
Do you watch/like Doctor Who? (IF SO, WHO IS YOUR FAVOURITE DOCTOR?)
What is your favourite theme? |

Okay, so outside of Rahi, there were no threats like wild Rahkshi between that time between The Toa/Dark Hunter War and Teridax posing as Dume? |

I'm sure there were threats of some kind, otherwise Lhikan could have just retired. |

Anything having to do with G2 has to be answered by someone involved with G2. If I said yes to this, I would be confirming a link between G1 and G2 that may not exist and that I do not have the authority to speculate on. As I have stated elsewhere, I don't answer questions re: G2 because I'm not associated with it. |

Kluuucha776 | 2015-08-15 09:05 UTC–5 PermalinkHi there Greg! I was asking you for some things, fe. about Mata Nui and Kiina relationship, some time ago. Thank you again for fast reply, and now my curiosity found another questions. I was studying races of Matoran Universe for creating roleplay guide for me and my friends. While searching about Vortixx abilities, I've found this info: "Roodaka can tap into her dark side, something she learned through extensive training, and use it to wield non-elemental Shadow energy from her hands."
And now come my questions:
1. Is it possible for other species to use this inner energy after training? 2. Is it possible to do so with "bright side" and use non-elemental Light energy?
Thanks for your work. I'm really sad that you are not member of 2015 storyteam. It for sure would be much better then |
