2) Well, they would still have been alive when he went to Bara Magna, but I doubt they survived his death.

3) Kraata would respond to the Makuta with the stronbgest will, and that would be Teridax.

6. Are Kestora about the same height of a Matoran? That's kind of the impression I got from the illustrations.

 

7. If you die inside the Red Star, you can't be revived, right? That explains the dissected corpses.

7b. If so, what if the Kestora died? Would they just stay dead, with no backup?

 

8. Could the Red Star be reverse-engineered to work on Bara Magna? So that MU beings could be revived in the future?

 

9. Are Zyglak doomed to extinction? They can't be revived on the Red Star, only Great Beings can make more, and non have even left the robot yet.

 

10. Was Tren Krom made of protodermis?

11. Did the Great Beings base Tren Krom on Annona at all? They're both tentacles monstrosities with mental powers.

 

12. How well known was Tren Krom? several places were named after him, but it seems like he was more of an "undercover" type being.

I happened upon a topic in the BIONICLE area of these boards which touched on G1, and since I am not supposed to post outside of my topic, I thought I would address it here.

It dealt, in part, with the old issue re: the Maori names used for BIONICLE characters back in '01. It was strongly implied that this had something to do with BIONICLE ending. This, frankly, is nonsense. The Maori issue was settled some 8 years before the last BIONICLE sets went on the market, and it never had an impact on set sales. BIONICLE was cancelled because of declining set sales. Period.

On the larger point raised -- the advisability of adopting a different culture's mythos for BIONICLE -- I am not sure I agree. For one thing, a culture's mythos usually has a lot to do with its environment ... so choosing a Nordic mythos for BIONICLE, which is set on a tropical island, probably would not work. Secondly, if BIONICLE was going to do that, they really needed to do it in year one, not now. And thirdly, mixing original terms like Toa with terms from a completely different culture would come across as discordant. I also don't get the impression the goal of new BIONICLE is to introduce a lot of terms most kids won't be familiar with.

1) Really? I was seeing it as similar to Kopaka controlling, say, an ice cube you made in your freezer.

3) But with the help of psionics toa/skakdi amplifying his willpower, he could?

 

4) Can a rahkshi of adaptation only adapt to conditions/situations, or can it adapt to attacks in a manner similar to Reidak?

1) No, you are talking about matter in a completely different state. An  ice cube from your freezer is still ice. Melted ice is water, melted sand is glass. Kopaka cannot control melted ice, so why let another Toa control the melted for of his/her element?

2) Well, they have very different connections to dreams. One drains dream energy, and one makes dreams come true. So I don't see them as being all that similar.

3) Do we know that the Psionics power would allow you to boost someone's willpower?

4) No, the intent was not that it would be able to adapt to attacks.
