Hello Mr Farshtey, I have a question, it's a bit general but I hope you will find time to answer. What can you tell us about the 1st design for Kanohi Ignika the Mask of life ? Anything you know will be most appreciated
I don't have info for you. I am not a set designer and had no involvement with any of that.

Just like how humans sometimes have the same names (ex: their are two johns of jeffs in the same rome) does the same apply to matoran?
It's possible, but I doubt we would have done it in story for the sake of clarity.

If there is a Kraata/Rahkshi of Weather Control it would make sense that the MU has weather, right? Though it could be some kind of ventilation thing, like when humans break wind haha. Except you said once before that the MU doesn't have different weather, because it would hinder the work of the Matoran. But which is correct then? Are there weather or not? Or is it the power to summon weather, like storms, lightnig storms etc.?

DEAR GREG, I THINK YOU DIDN'T SEE MY QUESTIONS,SO I WILL ASK THEM AGAIN; I'M WRITING A STORY IN THE BIONICLE FORUM.IT'S CALLED GAPORANK,TOA OF TIME;AN OLD BIONICLE STORY.I HAVE SOME QUESTIONS FOR THINGS I'M GOING TO WRITE. 1.CAN MISERIX OR ANY OTHER MAKUTA IMPLANT THE ELEMENT OF SHADOW IN A MATORAN WITHOUT A SHADOW LEECH OR AN AVSA? 2.CAN A TOA SACRIFICE ONLY THE HALF OF HIS/HER TOA POWER? 3.CAN I USE A FAKE NAME AS ''THE SHADOWED ONE'S'' ''REAL'' NAME? 4.CAN I WRITE THAT ARTHAKA IS SECRETLY A TOA?(ALONG WITH KARZAHNI). 5.THE TOA SET FORM OF MATA NUI IN 2009 IS CANON?(BECAUSE I PLAN TO USE IT). 6.WHAT ARE EXACTLY THE POWERS OF THE NUI STONE? 7.CAN ANTIDERMIS MULTIPLIE FROM SOME RESIDUCES OF IT? 8.NOW SOMETHING OUTSIDE THE STORY.HOW THE MAKUTA CAN SHAPESHIFT? I ALSO WOULD BE PLEASANT TO READ WHAT I HAVE WRITTEN SO FAR AND TELL ME YOUR OPINION.
1) No 2) I'm not sure what you mean 3) This is fan fiction. It's not official, so you can do what you want in fan fiction. That's the point of it. 4) He's not. 5) Yes 6) The Nui stone absorbs Toa power in a 3000 kio radius and allows the wielder to tap into it. 7) Not to my knowledge, no 8) Not sure what you're asking. They shapeshift the same way anyone else would shapeshift. 9) I don't read fan fiction, thanks.
FOR THE 2ND QUESTION I MEAN GIVE UP A PART OF THE TOA POWER AND KEEP THE REST FOR HIS/HER OWN.FOR THE 4TH I KNOW HE'S NOT A TOA,BUT AS YOU NEVER SPECIFICATE HIS SPIECES,I THINK I CAN WRITE THAT,YOU KNOW,FAN-FICTION.AS FOR THE 8TH,I UNDERSTAND THEY ARE ANTIDERMIS IN ARMOUR,BU HOW THAT CONTRIBUTE TO SHAPESHIFTING.ALSO,WHAT ARE THE PREFIXES FOR TIME,LIFE AND CREATION?AND WHAT IS THE MATORAN WORD FOR ''PARADISE''? P.S.PLEASE REPLY.IT'S MY 4TH ATTEMPT.

There's been a lot of debate about whether or not there was weather in the MU. I don't think there was weather as such. However, given that Matoran are partly organic and do have to breathe, etc., there had to be some kind of life support and environmental control systems. Plus you probably had fire suppression systems (sprinklers and other things), some kind of ventilation system to keep the interior of the machine from overheating, etc. To someone who did not know they were in a big machine, these things would feel like what we consider to be weather.

Greg, I heard that you were the author behind the Alpha Team storyline. Is this correct?
No, it's not. Other than Club magazine stuff, I never wrote anything for Alpha Team.
Thanks for the info. What kind of stuff did you write for the Club Magazines for Alpha Team?

Yes, I'm not an artist. I'm a writer based in the US. All set design is done in Denmark.

So, one thing I got to think about... In the movies, Teridax talks to himself... Why?

2) I'm not entirely sure I understand your question. A Toa can create a Toa stone and not necessarily be using all of his/her power to do it. But the "sacrifice" of power usually involves becoming a Turaga, and you do have to sacrifice all your power to do that. 4) As you say, fan fiction you can do what you want, so there was no real reason to ask me. The only thing I would note is that both Artakha and Karzahni were way beyond Toa power level, so making them Toa is going to weaken them as characters. 8) It doesn't. They can shapeshift because that is one of their powers. 9) There is no Matoran word for paradise that I remember, and I don't recall us coming up with prefixes for those elements since we did not do Matoran of them.

Mata Nui grants Ackar, Kiina, and Gresh Elemental powers, and says something along the lines of "I am only unlocking the power you always had." Or something like that. It made it sound like they had the power in them somewhere, but no way to tap into it.
1) It's a good question. If Mata Nui's destiny was to die, then it wouldn't make sense for them to have a destiny to save him. So you can see where it becomes something of a morass if you think that way 2) This is how I interpreted that line in the script. I think that Mata Nui felt or sensed or imagined that somewhere down the line in the evolutionary path, Glatorian would develop these powers. So all he was doing was giving them to the warriors early.

1. You said you were planning a couple of plot points that never went anywhere due to BIONICLE's cancellation, like Takanuva's destiny involving the Great Beings. Is there one you were particularly looking forward to, or were disappointed couldn't go further? 2. Are the Great Beings keeping a low profile because they feel they'll be blamed for the tering? 3. Antidermis is protodermis-based like everything else, right? 3. Could the Vorox and Zesk regain their intelligence? 4. When was it decided Takua would become a Toa? The Mata Nui Online Game seems to hint at it (Vakama says he is preparing for the arrival of "another" when discussing the Toa, and Nokama says to Takua "perhaps you are to become a hero like the Toa"), but I don't think the makers of the game could have known he would. 5. Nokama chews and swallows a Karzahni root in Maze of Shadows. Are Matoran/Toa/Turaga capable of ingesting their food, but choose not to? 6. Do/could romantic relationships occur between Glatorian and Agori? 7. Would you say Agori and Glatorian are related in some way? Thank you.
1) All of them
2) And other reasons. 3) Probably, yes 4) I believe that was part of the original concept of BIONICLE. It was always intended that Takua come across as different and special, so I believe the creators of the line had this in mind from the start. 5) They have no real need to do so. In that case, it was simply a faster way to self-repair. 6) Could, yes. Do they? I tend to think there are probably still societal mores against that. SM seems to have somethng of a class system, with the Glatorian and Agori playing very different roles, so I have a feeling that romantic relationships would be frowned on. That doesn't mean there have never been ANY, but I doubt they are in the open. 7) Could have been a common ancestor somewhere in the past

2: So how did the Great Beings know about it? Were they approximately 200,000 years more advanced than glatoran/agori, or did they just accidentally stumble upon it in their experiments
