Wilmerkardell | 2015-05-22 08:39 UTC–5 Permalink1. How come Strakk's, Tarix's and Raanu's "mouths" on their helmets move when they talk in The Legend Reborn when it's just a helmet? 2. a) Do Skrall, Zesk, Vorox, Rock Agori and Bone Hunters wear helmets? b) If yes, then why do their "mouths" move? 3. a) What makes Skrall and Bone Hunters be a diffrent species from the Glatorian and Agori, when the Rock Agori are Agori? b) Are Rock Agori actually a seperate species? 4. Would the skin colour of Glatorian/Agori be the same as their head (Green-Yellow, Red-Orange, Blue)? 5. Did Glatorian/Agori have hair? (I would guess no) 6. a) How come the Skrall have diffrent secondary colours? Is it a part of their armor? b) If yes, why? Did they live in diffrent tribes of skrall prior to the core war? c) What happened to them? We know that Lime and Red are the ones left on Bara Magna, maybe some "tribes" were killed by Barterra or Annona and others trapped on Bota Magna, some died as soldiers in the core war? 7. How come that, compared to Vorox and Skrall, the Glatorian are so few? Is it because we just didn't have focus in story on other Glatorian, or did they die in the Core War? I guess all Glatorian wouldn't been trapped on Bota Magna.

TDYChipBiscuit | 2015-05-22 17:21 UTC–5 PermalinkHey Mr. Farshtey, long time fan here. Just got this question that's bothered me for a while.
In Legends of Metru Nui (and the associated comics and books) the Toa Metru struggled to discover their mask powers. But... why? Surely, Vakama, a mask maker, would know the powers of all the masks they wore, and then it would be a simple process of focusing on the powers' activation. It could be that the 'activation' part was what they were really stuck on, but the dialogue made it seem like they truly didn't know what the powers were in the first place. What makes it more jarring is that Lhikan knew the powers of at least three of the six, and trained the Toa in the underground cell to realise these powers, even though Lhikan was not a mask maker himself.
I am very grateful for your time on this chat Greg, it's amazing that you still come back to this two-year-long interview! |
Andrew31kbrick… | 2015-05-22 18:06 UTC–5 PermalinkHey Greg, as a general rule, how tall are Turaga compared to Matoran? |
Andrew31kbrick… | 2015-05-23 00:11 UTC–5 PermalinkHey Greg, now that Seeker is on Spherus Magna along with the Toa Hagah and Takanuva (who wears the Mask of Light), does that mean that Seeker is going to continue is pursuit of them? |

ankas | 2015-05-23 17:03 UTC–5 PermalinkHow do you pronounce Rhotuka? |
ankas | 2015-05-23 17:08 UTC–5 PermalinkIt's so sad that nearly all BIONICLE media never came out in Danish editions and/or translations despite LEGO being headquartered in Denmark. We doesn't even have a Danish LEGO Magazine. We got the four movies, the original comics, though abridged and merged into fewer issues, and we only got two books, one being The Official Guide written by you, and the other being C.A. Hapka's Mask of Light. it is really odd to suddenly have a book that's the last in a series, in this case BIONICLE Chronicles, and not have the books that came before it. I know the reasoning was that the movie just came out, and so you'd try to use the book to advertise it, but still rubs me the wrong way. Do you know if there were any specific reason why we barely got any of the BIONICLE story media in Danish versions though? |
TeridaxXD001 | 2015-05-24 08:33 UTC–5 PermalinkA few questions if you please:
1. You said something about Miserix building a power base for himself. Is he interested in conquest? Or just self-preservation? Or something else entirely?
2. Whatever happened to the Toa Metru's Toa Disks? Did they get rid of them, or leave them in Metru Nui? They didn't want the Matoran to remember they were Toa, so that seems like the most logical thing to do.
3. What would happen if a Toa Disk were forged into a mask? Would it be an elemental mask? Like if Vakama made a mask out of his, would it be a Mask of Fire?
4. You said that when a being is revived in the Red Star, they aren't all there mentally. How long does it take to pull themselves together?
5. The Red Star's revival function isn't common knowledge, and from the examples we've seen (Lhikan's death, etc.) people in the MU seem to think that once you're dead, you're dead. When a being is revived, are they sent to a different location? Do they remember their previous life?
6. Are Zyglak sent to the Red Star?
7. Were Antidermis-based beings always exempt from the Red Star, or just after their evolution?
8. Do you think Helryx has completed her destiny, and could become a Turaga?
9. Would you consider Marendar to be humanoid/anthropomorphic/whatever or more abstract? I understand story development on it ended rather abruptly.
10. Am I correct in assuming a Toa's destiny can be made permanently unobtainable, barring them from becoming a Turaga?
11. How exactly did the Toa Nuva complete their destiny if the Ignika woke up Mata Nui? Did they just have to be involved in some way, rather than a specific method?
12. So, Glatorian have latent Elemental powers? That's what Mata Nui made it sound like when he granted them.
13. Has the Kraahkan reformed after being reduced to atoms? It sounded like it would eventually.
Thank you. |

I was thinking about consolidating species and islands--the topic's been discussed in BZP quite a lot recently--and I thought I may have found something that won't contradict anything in Dark Hunters.
I have an idea that Conjurer, Tyrant, Ancient, and TSO are all from the same Southern Island that Ancient plunged into war. Tyrant and Conjurer were two who seperatedly gave up on conquering the island and left for another southern island to conquer with plans to later conquer the world.
TSO and Conjurer are from the same species (both have similar heads and builds) which is related to, but not the same as Krekka's species, and Ancient and Tyrant are from the same species (both have similiar heasds, tails, and claw hands). Both of the races are based in the same island.
What do you think? It doesn't bend or break anything in Dark Hunters or strech things out too extreme limits, yet it provides a backstory to consolidate islands and races (which is something a lot of people have been calling for). |
sepublic22 | 2015-05-24 22:18 UTC–5 PermalinkSo, did Cardinsto's control over nature stem from being a Master of Nature, or was he just a wizard, since Sensei Wu referred to him as one? |
ScribeGT6817 | 2015-05-25 10:14 UTC–5 Permalink
He was a wizard. The whole concept of there being other Masters of elemental powers in NINJAGO was not something I was aware of until I saw the first half year 2014 story bible. |

Hi -- I can't give you an official answer, but as far as the books go, I can give you an unofficial answer. Books can only come out in a market if there is a publisher there who wants to license them. That is why, for example, a lot of EU countries got few to no BIONICLE books, while a lot more were published in places like China. It all comes down to having a publisher in that country that wants to license the rights to reprint and translate the books. |
ScribeGT6817 | 2015-05-25 10:18 UTC–5 Permalink
No, they are canon. I was simply pointing out that the original plan was no wheels, but obviously that changed as a result of set design. |
