A Matoran Universe question:

So, apparently the only reason that Metru Nui had suns was due to light coming through his eyes. Because in human anatomy we only have eyes or eye-like structures on our heads, does that mean that most domes of the MU do not have suns? And therefore, is it usually night time due to the lack of suns? Or do the domes have other "suns"?

They had artificial sources of light.

So many questions  Happy ...

Who and how were the names of the Toa Mata made?

What's your favorite color?

Do you like salads or soups better?

Did Kopaka slip?

Is Lewa the creative type?

Why doesn't Onua use dynamite instead of claws?

Do you favor some Toa over others?

Are you best friends with Makuta?

Did they have "natural" day-night cycles, or was it constantly daytime?

In reference to the Toa Mangai:

In the book Time Trap, the Shadowed One picks up a Kanohi Kakama used by a member of the Mangai. I remember reading on a page somewhere on biosector01 that this was Naho's mask. Is this canon or mistake?

Hi there Greg Farshtey!

Sorry about the two different posts, but I thought of some other questions:

1) We know that the Red Star scans the Matoran Universe for dead sapient species such as Matoran/Toa/Turaga, Skakdi, Vortixx, Steltians, etc., but does not scan for any Rahi because of a potential influx of one species.

      a)  Are intelligent Rahi considered in this rule; so no Krahka, Keetongu, and Tahtorak?

      b)  Would it still scan for Makuta even though they'd have no body for the Red Star to work with?

      c)  Could it scan for Kestora if they were teleported into the Matoran Universe?

      d)  Does it pick up that something is different about Velika? Does the star know he is a Great Being based on his                mehcanics/coding?

2) When exactly did Mata Nui fall asleep, right as Makuta cast the Great Shadow as he looked atop the Collesium? Or did he release the virus before and its effects only happened at that moment?

3)  I never could follow the intricacy of Makuta's plan. It didn't feel like it followed a linear path to me. How was his trapping the Matoran on Mata Nui, his wanting to speed up time for the encapsulated Matoran so they'd wake up and hail him as their hero, and his having Matoro bring the Great Spirit back to life with the Ignika all connected?

I think this was buried again. Sorry for the detailed and tedeious questions, Greg.

Hey! I was just wondering- from a BIONICLE perspective, why are the Toa Hagah's masks shaped like former masks? Like Norik's is shaped like a Kiril.

Thanks!

I believe that it has been stated that they had 'natural' day and night cycles.

1) No idea.I was not working on BIONICLE at the time the original Mata names were conceived.

2) Blue

3) Soup

4) No idea what you are referring to

5) He wasn't particularly in original BIONICLE, I do not know about now.

6) Because his set is built with claws and having to carry dynamite and matches around all the time would be a pain.

7) Only to the extent that some are easier to write for than others.

8) There are days I wish I was

1a) Correct. It has nothing to do with intelligence, it has to do with the fact that the Makuta make replacement Rahi as needed, so the RS is not required.

1b) No

1c) No

1d) No. It would if it tried to download AI from him, but that has not happened. The only thing the RS looks for is, is a given type of being dead or not?
2) The virus had been released before that. That is why Mata Nui attempted to trick the Makuta about who the destined Toa Metru were.

3) That is because it was a multi-part plan. Had he been able to gain control over the Metru Nui Matoran, he would have controlled Mata Nui's brain and been de facto running the robot. As for Matoro, it never made sense to let Mata Nui die permanently, because then the MU ends. But he had to have him brought back to life at just the right time, so Makuta could seize control of the robot.

Does LEGO still have the rights to the name "Toa"? I am just wondering because now they use "Masters".

1) How did the Red Star know not to search for the Makuta species anymore? Did a Kestora recognize their evolution and reprogram the Red Star to not search for them?

2) So Mata Nui knew he had been betrayed and initiated this plan? Do we know when the virus was released? If not, could we simply say that it was when Teridax came to Metru Nui?

3) So Teridax wanted to stop the Matoran from returning to Metru Nui and resuming work there? What plan was he formulated during the Mata Nui island saga?

4) Oh, well in one of the videos for the new Bionicle sets, it says the Toa are going on a quest through a lot of dangerous stuff, and it shows Kopaka crossing an icy mountain, and he appeared to slip, but claims he didn't. It became really popular among the Bionicle Message Boards. Most people believe Kopaka, but the rebels among us claim that he did slip.

8) Surprised Oh my gosh! I can't believe it!

Hi Greg!

This is something that I never really understood: Where did Vakama's visions come from? Well, I know that he had visions because his AI was glitched, so I should rather ask: Where did the information he saw in those visions come from? Was it all just in his mind, so did he just dream it up by himself, or was he actually "connected" somehow to Mata Nui's AI and/or other people's AIs and could receive messages/information from them?

Hello Greg.

I've returned with the results from the polls for the Toa Mangai Kanohi. For the first poll, the Kakama poll, 64 members voted and 65% of the voters agreed that they wanted the mask to be known. The result was that the majority of people want the Toa Mangai of Earth to wear the Kanohi Kakama.

In the Toa of Ice Kanohi poll, 95 members voted. The top winners were the Calix, Rode and the Mask of Conjuring. Those were the mask which the majority of the community wanted 3 of the 4 Toa of Ice to wear.  The foruth place had to be done using a tiebreaker poll.

In the tiebreaker poll between the Kaukau, Mask of Adaption, and the Kadin, 68 members voted and 47% of the voters wanted the 4th Toa of Ice to wear the Kanohi Kaukau.

Do you approve?

Thanks for your time and have a Merry Christmas.

Buried again.

My only qualm is the Rode, because I thought we had limited how many of those were worn in the MU.

The next highest mask in the poll was the Kadin, so could that be the final Ice Toa's mask instead of a Rode?
