And if the Makuta didn't originally control the element of Shadow, at least not completely, this raises the question of what Rahkshi powers the Makuta originally had, as it seems apparent that this changes based upon their element. |

As far as this question goes -- I started at LEGO in October, 2000, at which point the 2001 story bible and sets were done. I started writing the comic at the end of that year, and by the time Mask of Light was being worked on, I was more of a member of the story team (though not really involved in determining what story would be - more just there to get informed and ask questions).
Once I started writing the books, I had more opportunity to add side stories to main story, but it really wasn't until post-2005 that I got more involved with actually discussing the story and having some input on it.

That would really have been up to the set designers. |

I am curious to know, how did the first Toa come into being?
Thanks, Bionicle fan

voporak1 | 2014-11-25 12:46 UTC–5 PermalinkHello mr Greg
Some weapons of the Core War were charged with a elemental power like the blades of water of tarix and others able to control the sand like some weapons of Vorox during the CW. Is what there's had similar weapons in every tribe such as a weapon able to control fire or a weapon charged with the elemental power of ice?
Is what the Agori and the Glatorian can live up to 500 000 years?
In the graphic novel All our sins reminded it was mentioned: the Great Beings, creators of all living beings on the planet. What does this mean? We know that the GB did not create the agori and Glatorian and the others species like the vorox or the skrall. Is what this means that the GB have created a many of the life forms on the planet but they are not revealed?
How the red star is attached to the back of mata nui? Is what the RS is attached magnetically to his back?
You said that the Great Beings haven't left Spherus Magna after the shattering but yet it was mentioned that the GB have left the planet to find refuge elsewhere. I must admit that I am confused. |

DavidM4400 | 2014-11-25 17:34 UTC–5 PermalinkHey Mr. Farshtey thanks for answering my other questions and I have a few more: 1. How long did the Toa/Dark Hunter War last? 2. Is there any way for a Turaga to become a Toa again? 3. Would any of the Toa Hagah been in the Toa/Dark Hunter War? 4. How do you come up with names for characters? 5. What was your favorite year to wright about? 6. Are the Great Beings native to Spherus Magna? 7. Why were certain element (Iron, Plantlife, Lightning, ect.) Matoran, Toa, and Turaga not seen very often 8. Why didn't Krika "smash" Miserix when Teridax told him to but instead imprison him?\ 9. What are Wigets made out of?
buried and for some reason I can not reply

2. Don't you think a turaga would have done that if they could?
6. No. They travel from planet to planet making stuff and/or accidentally breaking it.
7. Iron for one was not common because the makuta exterminated them all. Sonics matoran are very sensitive to hearing and their villages are often isolated to prevent from going unconcious from noise.
8. Because Krika wasn't 100% loyal to Teridax and wanted to let what he believed to be the true leader of the brotherhood live. |

I am reluctant to canonize something like this that is going to fundamentally change an aspect of the mythos. Not, at least, without their being some discussion of the pros and cons by the fan base. I personally would consider:
CONS:
It became viewed as evil because of how the makuta used it. I imagine light would have been viewed as evil if the makuta had control of the element and rebelled with it.
I for one though think that evil isn't born, it's made. And therefore, it shouldn't be canonized. No matter how much I think it makes sense.
Also, in Brothers in Arms, I think I recall that Teridax's wording implied that the makuta started out with shadow but meditated to remove all negative emotion from themselves. |
