Errm... Greg, I believe it was said before that Atakus' blades were found in what was believed to be a baterra weapons cache... So I don't see how Velika could have given it to him, unless Velika led him to the area.
The GBs built the baterra and Velika would have been in communication with him, so I can't see why this would not be possible.
Looking over BS01 again, the wording was "believed to be" a baterra weapons cache. Also, his blades were stated to be made of technology alien to Spherus Magna... Explain. Aliens!?
Or prototype technology made by the GBs that no one on Spherus Magna had ever seen before, therefore it would appear alien to them.

And is skrall a seperate species?
1) He was captured by Agori from a plant-based tribe. 2) I have no idea what it looked like in the original story, and I doubt the designers were paying attention to Artakha stories when they designed it. 3) Bo-Matoran 4) Theoretically, but there were never any plans to introduce a second Toa of Light 5) To me personally? No. 6) We never named the species, and I don't recall if we ever said anything about the Skrall in relation to the Glatorian.

Thanks again for answering my questions, Greg. Also... 1. Do Turaga sometimes miss their lives as Toa, or did they accept all of it as part of their sacrifice in turning into Turaga? 2. Could the 8026 promotional "Kraatu" set be considered a Gafna like, canonically? They do look kind of similar with the head, shape and limbs. 3. Why is there so little information available on Jovan? Was he an idea suggested by another department at the company? 4. Is one of the Kraahkan faces supposed to be Takutanuva? 5. Do Skakdi generally look like Nektann minus his weapon as shown in the Mata Nui Saga? 6. Does Hydraxon regain his memory of being a Matoran or does he deny the whole thing, becuase the two different sources on BS01 confused me.

Hi Mr. Farshtey, I have a few questions about "Kingdom of the Snakes" graphic novel (all these questions are referring to beings and events from alternate universe): 1. Is "Kingdom of the Snakes" a name of this alternate universe? 2. What happened to Lloyd? (Only thing we know about him is that he unleashed Serpentine.) 3. Did Lloyd opened all five Serpentine Tombs or only three like in prime universe? 4. What is Pythor's role? Is he a Snake King like in prime universe, one of Serpentine generals or only a soldier? Because Bytar mentioned him, but he didn't specify who is Pythor in this universe. 5. Who rule the Serpentine? Five generals (one from each tribe) or Pythor as Snake King? 6. How was Great Devourer awaked? 7. In TV show portal created by Golden Weapons teleport Garmadon to seperate "dimension of darkness" where dark magic grant him a power to wield four Golden Weapons (and two additional arms), and later he returned to Ninjago. Did alternate Garmadon escape from Underworld in the same way? Because its very similar - both use Golden Weapons, have four arms and can use all four Golden Weapons. 8. Shortly before Jay saw Constrictai City he say, that he probably isn't too far from Kai's village. Was Constrictai City Kai's old village?
And one hypothetical question about BIONICLE: Can Skakdi Fusion hypnotize someone and let him/her dream about revival of someone?

Hello, Mr. Farshtey. Long-time fan of your work on Bionicle. I'll keep this short, and I apologize if you have already answered any of these questions. 1. Are the Great Beings organic, or have they evolved to the point of being energy beings? 2. Is Tren Krom truly dead? Or was he also saved by the Red Star? 3. Did comedians exist on Bara Magna or in the MU? 4. Krika lost the ability to reform as a solid entity. Was his mind destroyed as well, or is he now simply watching and knowing he can't interfere in events? 5. Is Tyrant actually dead? 6. I understand your beef with revealing the Shadowed One's name, but are you actually going to take it to the grave? 7. Are there any other alien races near the Solis Magna system? 8. Aside from migrating to Spherus Magna with it, what did Voporak do with the Vahi? 9. When you wrote the characters' dialogue, did you imagine any of them sharing voices with people from our world? Like Jimmy Cagney, or James Earl Jones, for example? 10. Can't Botar just transport himself and anyone else up there from the Red Star? 11. Has Vultraz died since he was last seen, or is he still being experimented on? 12. And finally, if there were to be some kind of apocalypse, which prevented the creation of any more Matoran and the like, who would be the last surviving Bionicle character on Spherus Magna? (Not counting the Great Beings) So much for keeping it short I think these got buried. Also, out of your own personal opinion, which would be stronger: Protosteel, or Adamantium?

Heya, Greg! We've got a topic over on BZP asking a question about the forms of the Toa, but there's some confusion over one of the finer points I made, and I'm hoping you can clear it up. When discussing the Nuva and their Adaptive Armor, I theorized that the sets are not entirely accurate. If we look at the forms of the Nuva back in '02, they had their blocky, Mata-like forms. With the AA, they look like the Toa Inika. So, question 1: If the Toa Nuva were to remove their armor, would they mostly resemble their Mata forms? If so, then, in story, would they still be shaped that way even with the Adaptive Armor, since it's basically just a different covering? My analogy in the BZP topic was that it was like our clothing: I can change from shorts and a t-shirt to snow-pants and a raincoat, but the body underneath doesn't change its overall shape. (Basically, are the '08 set forms of the Nuva entirely canon in overall shape, or just in aesthetics?) Thanks a bunch!

No idea. I wanted to do a book about that once, and was told no by the HF story team, and since I was not on that team I have no idea what they had in mind as a source.

Not really something I have thought about, but in general, we have always treated the sets as canon with the exception of the 2010 Stars, which were shorter because of price point considerations but not shorter in story.

1) No, they are not energy beings 2) The red star could not revive TK. It fashions bio-mechanical bodies and downloads consciousness into them. TK is completely organic, so his body could not be replaced. 3) I don't think either society really had the time/luxury for that sort of thing. They were trying to either get their work done or simply survive. 4) No, his consciousness is gone too. 5) Unknown at present 6) I have no intention of revealing it, no

7) That is not something the story team ever discussed. We had no intention of bringing alien races into BIONICLE. 8) He hasn't done anything with it, to my knowledge. 9) No. 10) Not now, there is no more MU. He would wind up in the middle of the ocean. 11) Vultraz is not dead 12) That's impossible to predict. It's like asking if there could be no more births on Earth, who would be the last surviving human? That depends a whole bunch of factors that are not predictable.

1) I am sure they do miss it, sometimes 2) If the set already had a name and was identified as something, I am not going to canonize it as something else 3) No, other depts. did not suggest BIONICLE characters. There is little info because there was no story need to come up with more. Extra time did not exist to come up with extensive backstory for characters who were never going to show up. 4) Not to my knowledge 5) We know what Skakdi look like, they look like the Piraka 6) I don't recall any story in which Hydraxon remembered he was Dekar

Hey Greg: 1) Do the Glatorian who were granted elemental powers have limited elemental reserves like the Toa? Also, are they able to manipulate their elements as well as a Toa would? 2) Are Kestora biomechanical, and are they made of protodermis? 3) What made the GBs decide to construct the MU out of protodermis? Maybe it had something to do with the special qualities which protodermis possesses? 4) Do you think Fa-Matoran would accel at being traders, navigators, and sailors because they have a better sense of direction than the other matoran? 5) Will Rahi go extinct now that there are no makuta left to make them, or will that be Alternate Teridax's job in addition to guiding the new SM society? 6a) Although MU inhabitants are unable to feel romanitc feelings, do you think they could understand the whole concept behind it? 6b) This may sound like one of my earlier posts, but I promise its a bit different: is the AI of MU inhabitants capable of simulating allemotions except romanitc love, or would there be other emotions that the MU inhabitants can't experience/understand.
