Dear Greg, 1) are there any sapient species on other planets in the Galactic Universe in BIONICLE storyline? 2) is it possible, that one of the "Dimensions of Meaningless Time and Space" (information from BS01) is inhabited? 3) can you say something more about your idea of "Great Beings' Civil War"?

Hello Mr. Farshtey, there has been a few things about Brutaka I can't find information on so I thought to ask you. 1. When the Antidermis attacked Brutaka's Olmak and "destroyed" it, did that mean that it shattered his mask beyond the point of wearing it, or was it just damaged enough that he couldn't use it anymore? 1A. If the mask is broken beyond wearing it, did Brutaka live the rest of his life without a mask? 2. After Mata Nui defeated Makuta and turned everything back to normal with the rest of his power, did that reverse the effects that the Antidermis took on Brutaka that made him understand the history of the Makuta and the Shattering?
Got buried.

1) It's not something the story team ever discussed, because we had no plans to take BIONICLE into outer space 2) Sorry. I don't know what you are referring to 3) Not really, no. That was an idea I was toying with for future story, but it was never fleshed out because the line got cancelled.

Hello, Mr. Farshtey, just another question. You said earlier that Matoran could absorb the energy from food in order to survive. But I wanted to ask: Can this taste the food that they are absorbing energy from (for clarification, what I mean is: As they absorb it, do they also taste it)? Thanks!
No, I don't think so.

How much longer will Bionicle and Ninjago continue? Do you (Greg Farshtey) know if Hero Factory will end because of Bionicle? Will Ninjago ever have a prequal?
I can't discuss future product plans. That is confidential LEGO information.
Okay. What other products have you designed other than Bionicle and Ninjago?
I did not create BIONICLE or Ninjago, and I don't do set design.

How do you feel about not writing the new bionicle? What do you think about the new story?
What I think about the new story doesn't matter -- what matters is what YOU think of it. You are part of the intended audience for it, I'm not.

Hey Greg! I'm the guy who asked you how long a Matoran could live back in 2007. Anyways, I was wondering how you were planning to end "The Yesterday Quest" and "The Powers That Be." I'm not asking for a play-by-play, just the highlights. Oh, and before I forget, could beings with elemental power over protodermis exist?
I wasn't. I don't outline my stories, I let them go where they want to go and I follow along.

To your second question - they already do. A Toa of Water is controlling liquid protodermis ... a Toa of Iron is controlling metallic protodermis ... a Toa of Stone is controlling rock-like protodermis, etc., etc.

I always wondered this... Right now, to my knowlege, you aren't writing any books for any LEGO lines. Correct? And you do the LEGO Club Magazine, correct? I am curious to what you do all day at work... If it is too personal, you don't have to answer it.
Boidoh, Right now, I am writing short stories for LEGO City and Ninjago for a Polish publisher, AMEET. My Ninjago graphic novel series for Papercutz has ended, so at the moment, AMEET is my only LEGO-related work. Like all my books, this is freelance, so it's stuff I do on my own time, not during the workday. My day job is editing LEGO Club Magazine and LEGO Club Junior Magazine. I work with a group of four other writers and we produce everything that is in the magazine and most of what is on the Club website in terms of content. We also do other projects within the company, like animation scripts and character bios for online, marketing campaigns, Club recruitment work, and pretty much anything that needs writing within LEGO.
I see. Will there be any BIONICLE stuff be in the upcoming 2015 LEGO Club Magazine? You don't have to say what exactly, just if there will be a section in there concerning BIONICLE.
Given that BIONICLE is an important new line in 2015, I would assume that it will show up in the Club magazine at some point during the year. Very few LEGO lines do not show up in the magazine at all.

1) How the one Artakha wore looked was never described in story, so no way to answer this. 2) Probably the former 3) A Mask of Control of what? 3b)) I really can't speak to how things would look in Gen2, since I am not involved with it 4) In what way were the Turaga a threat to him worth killing? 5) Yes
1. It was in Teridax's Reign. I shall quote it. "His mask was the most ornate anyone had ever seen – more than just a Kanohi, it was a true work of art. The metallic protodermis from which it was forged was arranged in intricate patterns and designs, each reflecting one of the many cultures that flourished in the universe. The eye slits were angular and pointed, giving him an air of both wisdom and a vague sense of menace." — Narrator, Reign of Shadows 2. What... With spines, big teeth... everything? 3. Oh, it is a Gen 2 thing... Seen in the trailer we got at NYCC. 4. Information
1) I would say you would need to look at that description and decide for yourself if you think it matches what is being shown for the mask now. 2) Probably, yes 3) Okay, I can't answer Gen2 story questions 4) No. He only had contempt for them. In his eyes, they wouldn't have been worth killing. After all, it was the Makuta who knew how to bring down a giant robot, not the Turaga
1) So basically, we can have it as our own head-canon, but it isn't official? ------ Bonus questions: 1) How was the Ignika able to get through the Bara Magna atmosphere, and get out of the Aqua Magna atmosphere at that, without burning up. 2) If the Ignika didn't, then Lehvak-Kal wouldn't either, right?
1) I cannot make anything official that has to do with new BIONICLE. You would need someone from the new story team to do that. 1) Because we wanted it to. 2) Lehvak-Kal would if we chose for it to do so. It's our universe, we make the rules.

- Is the Kanohi Jutlin made from Weaken disks? Their powers are nigh-identical. (As suggested by a member on BZP.)
- In Tales of the Masks, the first book you ever wrote for BIONICLE, Onua Nuva and Turaga Whenua encounter a large, pale, tentacled worm Rahi in the depths of Onu-Wahi. In Challenge of the Hordika, Krahka assumes the form of a large, pale, tentacled worm Rahi to fight Roodaka. Was Krahka imitating a member of the species encountered by Onua and Whenua?
- In Reign of Shadows, when the Toa Mahri witnessed the Skakdi creating the golden fusion, they assumed that Teridax had put the idea in the Skakdi’s minds, because only he, the Great Spirit, would know that all those beings were destined to transform. However, in an answer in this topic some weeks ago, you implied that Teridax was not responsible for giving the Skakdi that idea. If you wouldn’t mind clarifying: did Teridax manipulate the Skakdi into creating the fusion, or did he not? And if he did not, who knew, and how, that all those beings were destined to fuse?

Could you tell us why it was called "The Powers that Be"? What powers?
