Pocket and alternate are two different things. You could have a very limited number of pocket, but an almost infinite number of alternate, since an alternate is created evey time a decision gets made (the alt. becomes the reality where the decision was made differently)

Right now, I am writing short stories for LEGO City and Ninjago for a Polish publisher, AMEET. My Ninjago graphic novel series for Papercutz has ended, so at the moment, AMEET is my only LEGO-related work. Like all my books, this is freelance, so it's stuff I do on my own time, not during the workday.

My day job is editing LEGO Club Magazine and LEGO Club Junior Magazine. I work with a group of four other writers and we produce everything that is in the magazine and most of what is on the Club website in terms of content. We also do other projects within the company, like animation scripts and character bios for online, marketing campaigns, Club recruitment work, and pretty much anything that needs writing within LEGO.

Thanks, but you forgot to answer my questions about the old story line. I will re-state them, with 1 more

1. I was watching Bionicle 2: Legends of Metru Nui, and notised something: when Nidhiki calls Lhikan "brother" in the begining of the movie, and Lhikan says "You lost the right to call me brother a long time ago!" I got me thinking, was Nidhiki a toa on Lhikan's team once? and if so, is there a toa code or set of rules that when broken the toa who broke them becomes a dark hunter?
2. In the first two bionicle movies, Makuta refered to Mata Nui as his Brother, yet how can that be seeing as he is the leader of a species of Shadow Creatures in antidermis shells, and Mata Nui is the "Great Spirit"?

TimmyChip, I love your "P.S." statement and how you relate Farshtey to Tolkien! The worlds and stories created are so AMAZING and so in-depth! I am a HUGE fan of both authors and their creations. And then the Bionicle story just stopped abruptly...

Mr. Farshtey, is there any chance you could finish it on the side, seperate from this new series (unfortunately a reboot and not a continuation)? I am so sad and dissapointed the classic sets and stories ended.

Unfortunately, it's doubtful. I can't write BIONICLE stories unless LEGO asks me to,  and since they are trying to promote a new story now, I can't see them wanting "new old" story floating around and possibly confusing new fans.

2. why arn't you writing the books this time?
3. what's all this about Makuta being the brother of Ekimu, and them being mask makers?
4. And Makuta being evil because he put on a mask with too much power? what's wrong with the complex specise of Makuta, who deside they could take over after defeting a rebelion, and then having the leder take on the specise name?
5. And why are the villagers called defenders? Matoran and Agori are cooler names.
6. the new storyline sounds sort of simplistic, will it get more complicared later on?

Please do not get me wrong, I'm not complaining or trying to insult, there only questions, and if for confadential reasons you can't answer some of my questions, I'm ok with that.

Hm. I was super excited to learn about the new Bionicle, but it just decreased. YOU are a huge part of my heart for Bionicle. The books, the comics, and everything else is SO amazing, and the SWEET story left us hanging. We NEED it finished. A reboot? Bummer.

Is there a chance anything, even your involvement, could change?

In terms of being on story teams, none -- right now, no one on the writing staff is involved at that end of things. We all work on pretty much every theme through our work on the magazine and the website.
