PaulGia | 2014-09-08 21:57 UTC–5 PermalinkHello, Greg, I have a few more questions for you.
1. I was wondering if there was a limit to Reidak's adaption ability? Because he just seems overpowered if he can't be defeated the same way twice.
2. In universe, why did Pohatu's armor become orange in 2008? Was it just the color of the adaptive armor? I guess Tahu, Lewa and Gali underwent similar color changes as well, they just weren't as drastic.
3. Why did Takua change his name to Takanuva? I know LEGO obviously wanted to keep his identity a secret, but I was wondering why in story did he change it? Do any other Matoran change their names when they become Toa?
4. Can all Rahi wear masks? If not, how did Teridax control the ones that couldn't on Mata Nui?
5. Out of universe, do you recall/know why Matoro was chosen to use the Ignika? |
a113mom | 2014-09-08 22:45 UTC–5 PermalinkHi, Greg. I have a Bionicle question that probably no one has answered before:
Whatever happen to the Matoran of Voya/Mahri Nui?
If I recall correctly (correct me if I'm wrong), last time we left off on them, the Toa Inika/Mahri left Voya Nui to fight the Barraki, then were transported back to Metru Nui by Matoro(R.I.P.). But when Mata Nui awoke, it destroyed the Matoran universe, including Voya/Mahri Nui.
Soo, what happened to Kazi, Balta, Defilak, Piruk, Sarda, and Dekar( who turned into Hydraxon, but I still worry about the guy), and the rest of them? Did they survive? Did the Toa Mahri bring them back? What happened?
If you have time to answer this, I would like to know, but if you are too busy, I understand.

Mata Nui's awakening did not destroy the MU - the MU was damaged beyond repair by the fight between Makuta and Mata Nui in 2010. It's entirely possible that most at least of the characters you listed would have survived and are now on Spherus Magna. |

Xeara. I didn't bother to look at the post because I assume it is just one more 2015 rumor. I can't comment on any rumors regarding future releases. |

1) I don't think so. There are comic book characters who have that same ability ... you just have to put a lot of thought into defeating them. 2) I don't think we ever attached a story reason to it.
3) As a tribute to the Toa Nuva
4) I doubt he bothered to worry about Rahi that didn't
5) Yes, because he was the Toa who always felt the least worthy to be a hero, so it made dramatic sense for him to be the greatest hero of all |

No comprehensive list has ever been done. |

I haven't seen this, but as I have said before -- ANY news about future set releases will come from the LEGO Company, NOT from me. That is not the purpose of this topic. I am not allowed to discuss anything about anything past 2014 until LEGO has announced. |

No. As I have said, any announcements about future product releases for any line will come from LEGO Company, when they choose to do so. Until and unless that happens, I cannot discuss anything post-2014. |

And just as an FYI - I can, at any point during the day, walk up the hill, go in the showroom, and see every set we are putting out next year (except for maybe some store exclusives), from both continuing lines and new ones. Being able to do that is a part of my job, since I have to write about them for the LEGO Magazine and we are already at work on the January 2015 issue. But seeing them and being able to talk about them publicly are two different things. Even employees are not allowed to bring cameras or video recording equipment into the showroom, and leaking product info is pretty much a sure-fire way to lose your job. So regardless of what you guys see -- or think you see -- I can't post about any LEGO products for 2015 (things that are coming out or things that are not) until LEGO makes an official announcement. "Leaks" and "URL guessing" and rumors do not change that. The only thing that can change that is my bosses. |
TomGyroid | 2014-09-09 14:53 UTC–5 Permalink1. How did Nuparu in his Mahri form in the story (and if you can remember, the prototype of the toy) simeaultaneously carry a Cordak Blaster, Aqua Blaster Blade and Razor-Edged Protosteel Shield? 2. While not going into too much detail about sets, seeing as your field is story, how do you feel about the increased use of shooters and decreased use of the gears and functions later down the toyline? 3. Did you like the Bionicle reference in The LEGO Movie? 4. Is it possible to enlarge a Gadunka without the powers of the Ignika? 5. Is it possible for someone else to rebuild/recreate the Vahki? 6. If the Golden Being was diffused, would the Piraka still be in their "sea snake" form, or would they have somehow been undone by the Ignika? 7. What is with Hewkii and chains? 8. Does the adaptive armour give the Toa Nuva their 2002 Masks, Armour and Weapons in its "default" configuration? |

1) The sword and/or shield could have been magnetically affixed to his back, as needed. 2) I don't have a strong opinion. These things are decided largely based on focus testing of products.
3) Haven't seen it.
4) I don't think so, no
5) Yes
6) They would still be in their sea snake form
7) You would need to ask the set designers that
8) I assume so. It wouldn't make sense to make them look like Mata. |
Boidoh | 2014-09-09 18:50 UTC–5 PermalinkI'm going to ask this even though the response will be that you had nothing to do with the pictures. In the Mata Nui Saga there is a picture where Teridax raises his foot to smash everyone, there is a purple Rahkshi looking being in the picture. Its purple and black. I'm sure it's a rahkshi because it is holding a staff like how the rahkshi do. Light Purple - Mind Reading Blue/Purple - Accuracy Purple - Power Scream Black/Purple - Adaption Could the Rahkshi be one of those? Which? Power Scream Rahkshi and Adaption Rahkshi both fit the color description. And would that mean Tahu has that Rahkshi's power? |
TheSpecial | 2014-09-09 19:17 UTC–5 PermalinkMr. Farshtey,
Do you know which bionicle set had the most units sold?
Thanks. |
