1) I think he respects his cunning, but Makuta's success would have meant Spherus Magna would have never been rebuilt, which would make Velika's plans pointless. So he would have had to act at some point.

2) I doubt their main fortress was ever on Bara Magna, it was probably elsewhere on the planet

3) When my daughter was born, I no longer had the spare time to do writing except for what was bringing in income. And after a while, continuing the story stopped being important to the company since we were no longer selling sets, so the site went down.

1) I would finish the existing stories. At this point, it is less a question of time and more a question that there is no advantage to LEGO Company to do stories promoting sets we are no longer selling. They want me focused on Ninjago and other lines that are active.
