Did you get the Bionicle sets? (I'm guessing you did Joking ) And if so, which one was your favorite one to build? Not your favorite figure, but favorite build?

This is so awesome! Happy

I did get some at the time, but I don't recall really having a favorite build.

Greg, I've been a huge fan of Bionicle since it began. The fantastic, complex world and story you've built for it is awe-inspiring, and in my opinion it made it the best LEGO theme of all time. If there's one LEGO theme I'd like to see come back, it would be Bionicle. So my question is this: Do you think there's a chance of Bionicle returning someday? I know there are no plans currently, but how likely do you think it is for a new Bionicle theme to eventually be created?

It's impossible for me to guess, because it would only partially be a creative decision -- it would also be a business decision, and I don't work on that end of things. I don't know what factors have to be taken into consideration to decide to bring it back.

Bionicle fiction that is.

1) I do have stuff of my own that I am working on, but I don't have a lot of time for it.

2) I don't think i would be allowed to do unofficial BIONICLE fiction, since I am a LEGO employee.

Okay I'm a huge fan of the Bionicle artwork I saw in one of the Brickmaster 2010 article. It looked really cool. Maybe if you had a 2010 LEGO Magizine The Best Of Brickmaster 2010 book you could find what I was talking about. Who did that artwork cause I love it! I even used the style in one of my drawings! I know it'll be hard to find what I'm talking about. Maybe you could get your hand on a copy of the March/April 2010 issue it wich it's in. Please reply!

Even if I found it, doubt I would remember who did it.

Ahh. Okay. I understand. Then can you tell me who did most of the artwork for the Bionicle aduio things on their website? That was really cool! If not then it's okay. Sorry art is one of my hobbies.

Do you mean things like the original web game?

No the audio series on the Bionicle Website. The art for that thing.

Hello, Mr Farshtey.

Did you have any part in creating the dark hunters?

Well, I just thought I'd ask this question...

Because all in all, the dark hunters are my favorite bionicle people. ;{D

I'll try not to bother you.

Oh, and you can use the qoute button when replying to post. :{ )

I don't know you that muchThinking but I will ask you some questions...

When there were movies about Bionicle that came out, did you have the idea... or did you at ALL work with this movie?

Another question... Are there going to be any more Bionicle sets? There weren't any in a long time, the site was removed, they might have been replaced with Hero Factory...Sad

I'm glad I've got the chance to know you (will look up more about you)!Smile

Do you find it weird that Kai means water in Japanese?

Not really, no. Proper names are usually not trademarked, and as long as it doesn't mean something offensive, we can use it. It is really hard coming up with character names that don't already belong to somebody else.

Kai is actually a rather basic syllable. Given it means  'water' then it's probably an inside joke. Kai also means "and" in Greek, and someother sutff as well/

Hey, Greg!

How did Zaktan survive Teridax's attack?

Keep in mind that Zaktan is essentially a mutant. Things that might be expected to work on someone normal might not work the same on him.

He also survived the shadowed one, so I'm not suprised he survived.

Hey, may I please ask, what happened to bionicles? Bionicles was epic, but why has it suddenly just dissapeared? Disappointed Crying Confused I don't know

BIONICLE had been around for nine years when the decision was made to end it. I think after such a long time, there were signs of waning fan interest and LEGO Company decided to try a different direction.

The problem was, HF simply did fuax Bionicles, instead of something original.

1) I was looking to move to CT because my then girlfriend was living here, and I applied for a job at LEGO that I saw online. 2) Basically, when a BIONICLE character dies, its body gets teleported to the red star. A new body gets created and the brain patterns get transferred over, and they get sent back - -at least, that is how it is supposed to work. 3) I don't understand your question.

Wow, I can't believe I'm having a conversation with Greg!

3) I mean, what would have been the out come of The Powers that Be? You left me hanging!

So Greg, how did you come up with the epic plot for bionicle? What were your inspirations? Also, who was your favorite character to create and/or develop

1) Yes, very well. 2) That was so long ago I don't remember. 3) It was basically overlaid, sort of like if you put one coat of paint over another coat of paint. The first coat is still there, you just can't see it.

1) I met you shortly after that contest, because of that contest. My brother was one of the winners.

2) Ha ha! Okay.

3) Interesting...

Thanks! Happy

And one more question... Who picked Matoro to be the one to save Mata Nui? You?

And why Matoro?

I did, yes. And I picked Matoro because he felt that he wasn't doing enough to be a hero ... he didn't really feel worthy of his power. So I thought it would be cool if he did the most heroic thing of all.

Yeah.

You did an epic job on that. Thumbs up

Rereading that part always brings tears to my eyes. Really.
